This nationwide seminar will help companies learn more about doing business in Southeast Asia, including how to utilise New Zealand’s free trade agreements in the region, in particular the ASEAN*- Australia - New Zealand FTA, Malaysia-NZ FTA, and the NZ-Thailand Closer Economic Partnership.

Attendance is FREE OF CHARGE and a light lunch will be provided to participants.

If you are interested in doing business with this dynamic region, this seminar will bring you up to date with developments and the opportunities that exist for New Zealand companies. 

Local and international experts will be on hand to share their knowledge and answer questions about how the FTAs in the region relate to your business. Workshop and panel discussions will help you learn from the experience of a wide range of New Zealand companies active in the region, including goods and services exporters and investors.  It will also provide an opportunity to network and explore business opportunities.

Hon Tim Groser, Minister of Trade, will open the seminar. Guest speaker, Dr Ganeshan Wignaraja, Chief Economist (Regional Economic Integration), Asia Development Bank, will provide an overview of the trade and economic trends currently occurring in the region and how to best utilise the range of FTAs that New Zealand is a party to.

Business people and officials from across the ASEAN* region will also attend the seminar.
